E-Commerce / Mail Order drives in-line labelling requirements to higher levels and leading providers of warehouse and distribution centres typically identify traditional print and apply systems as bottlenecks – Not any more! The QuickTamp solution eliminates that bottleneck - the fast and safe Logistics Labelling System. The fast and flexible applicator is based on a unique Tactile apply solution, were the movement is constantly is monitored and controlled, making the system totally safe for any user or object accidentally getting in its way. If the movement is restricted, the system will immediately stop and alert with an alarm or warning. Driven by a pulse encoder controlled stepper motor, the carbon fibre shaft holding the label firmly with a patented 3D printed applicator pad, moves quickly to its target and applies the label with high precision. A height measuring sensor simplifies installation and ensures applying the label at the right position every time even if the height of the package changes randomly and whilst the line speed of up to 80 m/min can be maintained. Bolstering the solution is the duty / standby arrangement when two machines are configured together therefore eliminating all media changeover downtime and subsequently meeting the demands of the rising number of 3PL companies fulfilling e-Commerce needs.
