eTamp Applicator
The eTamp applicator is designed for labelling applications where extended reach is required. Its configurable stroke length allows labels to be applied to cases or pallets positioned away from the labelling point, making it suitable for applications where standard tamp applicators cannot reach. Long-stroke tamp labelling
- Extended stroke capability: Stroke lengths can be configured from 150mm up to 750mm, allowing labels to be applied at a distance where products cannot be positioned close to the applicator.
- Adjustable stroke settings: The required stroke length is set through the printer’s graphical user interface and can change automatically when switching between product types.
- Electronically driven tamp movement: Stepper motor control replaces pneumatics, enabling precise yet flexible configuration and safer operation.
- Safety-focused operation: If resistance is detected during application, the applicator automatically returns to its home position.
- Wide label size support: Handles labels from 30×20mm up to 178×140mm, supporting a range of case and pallet labelling requirements.
Suitable Applications for eTamp Labelling
The eTamp applicator is typically selected for applications where labels must be applied at a distance or where multiple faces of a product or load need to be accessed.
Case labelling: Applying labels to the top, side, front or end of cases of varying sizes.
Pallet labelling: Applying labels to pallets using long-stroke reach, including more than one side when the pallet is repositioned.
Cold storage environments: Suitable for use in chilled and frozen operations, down to -30°C where automated tamp application is required.
Flexible Integration Within Print And Apply Systems
The eTamp applicator is designed to operate as part of a complete print and apply labelling system with Evolabel printers. A shared interface supports straightforward integration.
During servicing or label changes, the applicator automatically moves clear of the printer, allowing unobstructed access to the print head and label path.
