FlexWipe Applicator
The FlexWipe applicator is a pallet labelling solution that applies labels using a tactile applicator arm and a pivoting machine mount. The FlexWipe’s compact layout supports installation where space and access are limited, and it is suitable for use in ambient and cold storage environments, down to -30°C. Compact Pallet Labelling
- Consistent label placement with barcode validation: Controlled application of pallet labels and supports barcode validation on GS1 SSCC labels as part of the labelling process.
- Multiside pallet labelling: A rotating applicator arm allows labels to be applied to multiple sides of a pallet without repositioning the load.
- Automatic response to contact or resistance: The applicator arm and pivoting machine mount are designed to stop movement and move away if resistance is detected, triggering an alarm and providing a controlled response during pallet movement.
- Compact footprint: Designed to integrate into pallet handling areas where available space is limited. Additionally, the FlexWipe applicator can often be installed without bulky guarding, releasing floor space and making it easier to access the equipment when necessary.
- Accessible maintenance: Label roll replacement can be completed in approximately 20 seconds, with print head or print roller replacement taking around one minute.
- Cold storage capability: Suitable for use in chilled and frozen environments.
Suitable Applications for FlexWipe Labelling
FlexWipe is typically used in pallet labelling applications where labels need to be applied to more than one pallet face without repositioning the pallet or adding large guarding structures.
Warehousing and distribution: Applying pallet labels to outbound pallets where stopping or repositioning pallets would disrupt flow.
Manufacturing: Labelling outbound pallets to support identification and traceability at the end of production.
Cold storage facilities: Automated pallet labelling in chilled or frozen areas where manual labelling is impractical.
Integrated Pallet Labelling Within Print and Apply Systems
FlexWipe is designed to operate as part of a complete print and apply pallet labelling system using compatible Evolabel printers. The applicator and printer are mounted on a shared pivoting structure, allowing pallet labels to be printed and applied in a single automated process. During servicing or label changes, the applicator moves clear of the printer to allow access to the print head and label path.
